This is might be the only word that has greater value of the person who spoke of it, rather its own meaning and existence. ‘Kratistos’ was the last word spoken by Alexander The Great. To understand the significance of the word you must know about Alexander The Great, but sadly apart from the name most people don’t know anything else about the Macedonian who was the greatest person to walk the earth. Even the fact he died at the young age of 32, he changed the world by conquering the known world*!!, The genius of his strategies still being studied. He is the person truly deserving the title of the greatest. But he was a megalomaniac, and a bit of a narcissist if you consider the fact that he named 14 cities in his own name. He believed he was the son of the gods himself, as his mother told him his true father was Zeus.
In his last moments, his generals all around him as he lay on his deathbed, they beg him to name a successor and as they know if no one is named everything will break into chaos and fall apart. As the Great Macedonian mustered all his energy to speak, he spat out Kratistos and died. All the generals had a face of horror, as they could see the future right now…, chaos, civil war and the falling of the great empire. Kratistos meant The Greatest/Noblest. Alexander didn’t want to hand his hard work to anyone, he was jealous and envied all who lived as he was forced to die young by the illness, the rage of not being able to unleash his full glory. He was doing, as it was similar to a child destroying his toy instead of sharing it. The bitterness and pettiness in his last moment was unmatched by anything in existence.

Before you think I myself am a narcissist for calling myself the greatest/noblest. No I am not, it is a reference to how pettiness/bitterness caused such a greatest fall. It is a warning to oneself that ego even chipped away the massive empire so what it could do uncontrolled.
